"Le
Scene Calcate" painted theatre sets
(exhibition)
Viewed in a theatre, a set represents an image: it
gives a completely different impression when seen in a workshop
and the painting is seen for what it really is, an artefact.
Le Scene Calcate shows the work that goes into
a painted backdrop, offering the visitor an unusual view using
seventy photographs, a film, a CD-Rom and several tools.
The exhibition was organised by the local authorities of Spoleto
and was on display in the Visiale exhibition space from 19
June to 11 July 1999.
